Hello. I've been driving cars since 1992, when I purchased my LandRover. After a lot of years and modifications / rebuilds I've ended up with a supremely capable classic LandRover IIA swb.
I then built a Ginetta G20 roadster, and I'm unlikely to have anything as powerful again (300hp per ton). I decided to learn how to ride a motorcycle and then purchased my dream bike, a BMW R1200GS, and sold the Ginetta.
I've just spent summer doing (and still trying to do) mortgage stuff as reality has finally caught up with me. So the GS has gone so that I can free up some cash. Insurance on a two year old £9000 motorcycle when I've only had my license for two years was, shall we say, 'steep'.
I now find myself in a quandary. I've got enough money to pay off a chunk of the mortgage/get a smaller one. Or, I could buy a nice new bike that would do almost what the GS did but be cheaper to insure and service. Or, I could buy a second hand bike and second hand multijet Panda... or a new Panda 100hp.
Decisions, decisions.
