Hi,
Well as I have already posted a problem I thought i had best put a quick hello in here. I am a recent convert from Rover really as I had metros ( including some 1.8 ones and a modified metro turbo) I liked em but struggled to find a good one now. So I have swapped over to a Cinq sporting. :)

Although my recent other car was a Nissan 200sx turbo which is fast but not as much fun as the cinq to drive..( well not as much fun to drive if I want to keep my licence.)

Also I am paying £400 less to insure the cinq. Which is always a good thing.

Not intending to do much but audio the car, but saying that I never intending to have a 1.8 in a metro but I did.

I am starting my first rally season next year hopefully. Doing my Barrs shortly and am currently just looking for the right mk1/2 escort to catch my eye. I am also a mum/student/wife.. cant fit much more into 24 hours.

I am also a huge superbike fan and Moto Gp fan and obviously I watch and go to rallys, car cruises etc etc.

Look forward to making some more posts and hopefully not as long as this one..

Lynda :D

welcome to the forum - do you ever go to track days - i am often at track days and when James races his car in championships. I dont use a fiat for track days but my car is always there - if you do ever go and see me and the car below - you must say hi :D

I have done donnington... but I tended to have done Curborough the most. Only when I had the metros. :) Did put one in a ditch..maybe thats why i am trying rally instead. ;)

Meant to add... abit about my driving.. lol

I have been driving on a full licence for 19 months in that time between me and my other half ( who I get to insure the sportier cars) we have had the following cars.

1.1c metro
114gta metro spi (modded)
cavlier cant remember which one
Carlton 2l cdxi
Mg Metro turbo ( lasted 3 weeks before I killed the gearbox)
Modified metro turbo ( Killed that too but was the garages fault as they timed it up as a standard one and it was bored out to 1380cc)
114gta (mpi)
Rover 214.
Range rover vougue 3.5 v8 ( that was fun to do the school run in, scared the wannabe 4x4 mums to death with it) Sold due to the 18mpg I got on school run
Nissan 200sx ( bottom end went) s13
Nissan 200sx s13 ( modified to run 16psi and rather fun..except in the wet) Still got at present. (£620 for me to insure, £360 for the other half)
Metro gti 1.8 ( fast fun and great to upset bmw drivers in)
Astra 1.4 5 door ( was going through a senisble month)
Omega 2l auto ( sold to buy the cinq)
cg125 ( mine) just sold it
zzr600 ( was mine)
cbr900rr( modified and I didnt ride it as I am to short)
gsx600r ( other halfs blade replacement.. was no good as it was sooooooo slow)

I think thats it but this is over 19-20 months and non sold because I crashed em.. lol.. My insurers love me..

I shall be keeping the cinq longer than I normally keep cars.. :)

Not been to litchfield I dont think.. go to Notts lots, go to Tamworth or Hinckley quite a bit. And Burton.

I tend to only pay to change my car.. I think it works out at about £700 each a year on cars and 1k between us for bike insurance.

cheaper now though as I just got loads back when I swapped to the cinq.

Nah if your not claiming on the insurance its better to just say you've not got the car anymore :p Well cheaper...

Not had any crashes.. Gear box got me home in the metro turbo.. only had 2nd and 4th.. Bottom end went on a track day..so trailered it home..

Did stick a metro in a ditch but didnt do any damage so didnt bother mentioning it
