hi, im vicki and ive just joined to tell u that im selling my lovely fiat cinquecento sporting. its in the sales section and also on autotrader if u want a look.

i need a quick sale due to me going to uni. i need to sell my car for the extra money. i woudlnt sell it if i didnt have to but basically i cant afford to keep it taxed, insured, mot's and full of petrol as well as paying uni fees.

its in good condition, 57,000 miles, metallic blue. im selling it with 6 months tax and mot. just please go and look in the sales section if youre looking for a nice little car.

thankyou
vicki

 Welcome to FF Vicki

Going about this backwards aren't you? New members have usually just bought a Fiat, not sold/selling it! :D

IMO you should be prepared to haggle on price..................

Also, the autotrader link don't work (n)

i cant seem to get the link to work from autotrader. just keeps saying this page cannot be displayed. yeah im going a bit backwards i just thought id post it as many places as i could because i really need to sell it in the next few weeks. i needed it to get to and from work and now that ive left my job i can finally sell my car, i just have a short amount of time to do it.

id appreciate any advice u can give me, im only 19 so know nothing about selling my car.

Just make sure everything's clean and tidy and it smells nice (makes a good impression that it has been cared for IMO). Also have a firm lower figure that you'd take for the car - you may sell quicker if people know you're willing to haggle.

Can I ask where you got a figure of 1100 from? General car buyers will look at publications such as Parkers and Glass's Guide.

For a car that has done average mileage (80K ish) www.parkers.co.uk reckon about 530 quid - that's with full/long MOT with no work needed. So at a guess 600 ish for your car. Glass's Guide will be about the same. Remember a good proportion of general car buyers just want a car - they aren't particularly fussed about the make, they just want something that has a good chance of being reliable to get them from A to B as cheaply as possible.

So I definately would be prepared to haggle if someone who just wants a car turns up.

yeah i have my haggling price set. its been washed and waxed and polished inside by me personally, all the windows have been cleaned and it smells all nice now and looks good. when i went to sell it on autotrader that allows you to check what your car is worth with the AA price checker. it reckoned just over £1000 but it does have 6 months tax and mot left on it and a lot of the other sportings on there go for much higher prices. but yes, i am prepared to haggle i just need to keep it as close to the asking price as possible because of university fees. thanks for the tip.

Tbh i have been looking for a cinq for a while..ive seen R reg with 65K going for £575 and up in Scotland you can get a sei sporting for about £1200 so its perhaps a bit high...you never know though :D

lol thanks liam. nice car :) glad u found my car on autotrader. the links just woulnt work for me for some reason.
