Two days ago i purchased a nice little weekend project: a Silver Stilo Abarth with the infamous selespeed gearbox - obviously not working (!!).
Car was coming up with all sorts of errors: ASR, ESP, ABS, Airbags, Engine Control, AutoBox Failure, Loose Connection. Windows, Central locking, and CN+ not working (only display Fiat logo).
I am now down to Engine Control, windows, central locking and CN+ (which i'm gonna be asking about soon
). Wanted to thank everyone on this forum as it was very helpful. got FiatECUScan as recommended here and cleaned the D4 which was a great help.
The gearbox now shifts with engine off, when turned on it also shifts but the clutch sometimes disengages too rapidly and stalls the car ( so far i moved it 10" backwards and then 10" forwards before the engine stalled ).
I'm just about to calibrate the clutch etc. as now have a full version of FiatECUScan.
I realise it's a long post but wanted to describe everything in great detail...so if you guys have any ideas/insights, please share!!
