I got the Fiat bug many years ago in high school. At that time I owned a 1974 X 1/9. Sold that before going into military. (should have kept it). Married, two kids, house but still kept an eye out for another X 1/9. Fast forward to present day-In 2005 I was finally able to pursue my Fiat quest again and subsequently purchased a 1977 X 1/9. The car is in immaculate shape. Personalized it with better carb, exhaust, rims and tires.
Removed bumpers-they're ugly.
It's a sunny day driver, between work, family commitments and 6 months of snow, I get out for a drive as often as I can.
I'm currently in the process of upgrading the motor to an Uno turbo mk1 motor I acquired from Europe and will try to add photo's. It's being rebuilt and near ready to install. I have some technical questions about this motor and will be seeking some advice in further posts.
That's all for now.
Cheers
Walter
