Hello from another noob!!

Hi All,

Just saying Hi and also what a great forum this is! Full of info.

I have a 2002 Fiat Stilo 1.2 Active which is at present running on 3 cylinders I changed the plugs to no avail and thanks to this forum I think I have have found the root of the problem, ignition coils, which I am just off to order from Shop4parts.

Before I do I just wanted to ask: I have been told by my dad that it is more likely to be a faulty injector than an ignition coil. Is this true?

From what I have read on this forum I don't think so.

I know I should take it to the dealer and get a proper diagnostic done but with it being nearly Christmas and all I can't justify the cost as this car has cost me nearly £700 in the last three months to fix already. (new front sus springs cos one failed at junc 1 of the M5, discs and pads, new air box as the heat shield decided to fall off and the manifold malted a hole in it and now this).

I have read all the posts on ignition coils but cant finad any specific to the 1.2 and any further input would be appreciated.

Welcome

It's probably worth starting the car up and then looking to see if the faulty cylinders spark plug is firing at all, if it isn't then it should be the ignition coil
