Punto (Mk2/2b) Hello from a Newbie and New Car

Just wanted to say howdy and show off my new Punto

She's a 2001 MK2 Punto 1.2 8V MIA in Grey. Got her for £895 with MOT and Tax. Someone in the past installed central locking which is nice. Also has a pretty good Kenwood stereo fitted, ready for a subwoofer :slayer: The wheel trims as you can see need to be replaced. However, the paintwork is mint, interior is just as tidy. Engine is a bit cob-webbed and needs a bit of upgrading and polishing. Headlights need bring back to god order. Chuffed.

I actually do like these wheel trims. Guess I'll have to sand them a down and give them a good repaint!

Really fun to drive so far. Only thing is the steering wheel seems to sit slightly right of centre going straight.

A pressure washer at close range can strip them too.

i got some badly scuffed trims from college for free
Lots of kerb damage

Spent ages with Orbital sander and ground back the damage, primered - flatted - sprayed and then lacquered, they looked pretty awesome tbh

Welcome! Somehow, the car in this colour really suits the black bumpers... -- and the paintwork looks astonishing...!

As to the steering wheel problem, the car probably just requires aligning/tracking... -- although a small part of me wonders why this would need doing... -- has any part of the suspension been changed; or have you hit a pothole, recently...? (See this thread, anyhoo, for the results of me having my Punto sorted, last week....) Find yourself a good tyre place; and get them to have a look....
