Greetings
and it's nice to be part of this forum, I hope that I can learn something of these Fiats and be of service to anyone aswell.
I have a Weekend 2.4JTD which I've had for a couple of years now and pretty much has run faultlessly apart from a faulty airflow meter early on.
One thing that I have noticed, and the local Fiat and Alfa dealers have reasured me that there is nothing wrong, is that up to approximately 1800-2000rpm the engine seems unusually flat, then suddenly taking off, I presume as the turbo is kicking in,then all is fine, however that low down flat spot can be a nuisance if say you are coming out of a junction uphill.
I would have expected alot more torque than that at the bottem end.
Does anyone know if this is normal with this engine or is it a known fault that can be fixed, or not
as I say Fiat say there's nothing wrong with it.
I look forward to hear from anyones views.
Thankyou in advance.
