Hi! my name is Joe Dodd and I'm from West Yorkshire, I'm 17 years old and looking to pass my test in about 6 week.
bought my punto 2 days ago for 1350 with 52 thousand miles on the clock-- full service history -
Just wanted to say hello to everyone as being the noob I am, I'll more than likely have to ask you all how to do things alot :) ...
Here are a few pictures after having a 2 hour wash followed straight after with rain -.-

I'm skint atm but I'm planning doing the following;
15" deep dish alloys
smoked rear lenses
back windows tinted
thinking about coilies
and little subtle mods that don't look tacky e.g. smoked repeaters, de badge
and if you have any more ideas I'd appreciate hearing them.

Thanks!

Hi Joe & Welcome, car looks nice.

But as you're skint, and hope to pass your test in 6 weeks time... have you had an insurance quote yet with all your planeed Mods declared?

Not wanting to pee on the bar-b-q but I'd keep it standard for a bit if I were you... (y)

Hello, cheers :) and it doesn't cost anything extra with the insurance company I'm with, they either allow the mod with no extra cost or just tell me I can't have it, I'm pretty certain that they allow the mods which I have listed, and yep, it's going to have to stay standard for a bit until I save a bit of money up :(

(y) You'll learn a lot in your first 3 - 5 years. Spend time & money keeping the car good, learn the basic DIY things to save money for later. Try to work out how to avoid braking except in emergencies, you'll find progress is as good as if you race about, but fuel economy will be better & tyres will last longer.

I'm real proud that in 76,000 miles my re-mapped 1.9 MJet GPS never had to have new brakes... they were only half worn when I part-ex'd it! :D

Yeh, will do, I knew that you can go down gears to slow the car down, just wasn't sure why but thanks, will keep that in mind now ( after I've passed :)
