Hi my name is Charlie, a few months ago I purchased a GP 1.4 8v active sport 06 plate with 50k miles. The car was left sitting idle for over a year and a bit of TLC needed to get it running well.
My first thought was to put it in a garage as this is my first car and I have never worked on one before. While looking on the net I stumbled on this forum and saw there was guides for everything I needed done.
Using these great guides I was able to change the air/oil filters the oil its self, the breather hose, front left headlight bulb, and the brake pads. I was also able to find the source of and fix the rattling air intake, source and fit aux cable for stereo, Find the loose wire on the multi plug for heating resistor. I was even able with some help from a more experienced friend to fit a new timing belt.
The car is now running sweet and all for just the cost of the parts saving me a heap of cash and i would like to say a big thank you to the forum members that made it possible.
