Hi everyone - I'm new to this forum, but I've owned a 1984 Spider since 2012. It surely has 42,000 miles on it. I was driving the other day, and the car began to lose power. Even with the gas fully pressed to the floor, the engine wouldn’t respond. And then it would kick in and drive fine. I stopped to pick up something at a store, and while it started back up, it began to not respond again, and finally stalled. I would turn the key to start it, and it would catch for a second, and then stall. I finally was able to keep it going long enough to limp home to my garage. The same sort of thing was happening last season, and I changed the fuel filter, which seemed to fix the issue for a while. Where would you recommend look at next? Thanks in advance for your help!
