I'm new to the forum and looking for help. I have a 53 plate Punto and recently bought a cd head unit to replace the factory fitted cassette player. The problem is the unit will not work. I tried it in my girlfriends Proton and it works fine. Any ideas, they would be much appreciated.

Post up your Punto problems in the Punto Forum
However... Have you checked your fuses? Sounds like you may have blown a fuse whilst putting the Head Unit in. On the MK1 Punto's (old shapes) a good test is too see if your interior light will come on - if it doesn't then it's a 15amp fuse thats blown (blue one!) Try that - if not post up in Punto section and i'm sure another Punto'er will help you
