Hi all,

I just picked myself up a 2000 1.2 8v Mk2 Punto with 80k on the clock. Its a nice dark gray colour and comes with nothing but I love her. I just thought Id say hi and introduce myself. I was browsing through the forum last night and it seems a wealth of good info. I`m looking to get a few parts for the car and I have already seen the guides on how to fit them here. Good times!

Thanks! Its always good to have a decent source of expert views when you get a car. And since this is my first car I can see myself posting a good bit! Time to run down to halfords and buy a load of stuff for the motor.

first bit of advice rather use a local motor factor instead of halfords as they are generally quite expensive with their prices

Yea I probably should go looking for somewhere cheaper. I was just going to get a new set of plugs, air filter and maybe a haynes manual.

Ill post some photos first thing tomorrow. I`m actually quite pleased with it, although it has the black bumpers because its dark gray it looks half decent. what's the going cost for a set of 15" fiat alloy wheels these days?

Thanks guys, looking forward to modding my Punto. In a tasteful way though I don't want to look like a boy racer. I get paid to drive fast so my road car doesn't need to look like a F430 :)

you get paid to drive fast, so tell us, what is your day job

(are you a daily bmw motorway driver :p) or white van man

I wouldn't touch a BMW not even if you paid me :) I`m a racing driver instructor at Mondello Racetrack in Ireland. If you played Toca 3 or GT Legends the track is in it. Not a bad job really, I get to drive like I`m on fire and tell people how bad they are :)
