Hi,
I've recently bought a lovely 5 door 2000 X reg 8v 1.2 Punto, I know it's not brand new but I really like it!
I need some help though, there are a couple of problems:
1. Beeping on the dashboard whilst driving - what does this mean? No lights come on
2. Difficulty with first gear, I can pull away fine at speed but when I am in a traffic jam / crawling I am really stuggling, if I need to pull away slowly or ride the clutch. The car shudders a lot and feels like it's going to stall and it's quite scary. I have tried more gas (and this helps, but can't pull away too fast in standstill traffic) I have tried being more gentle / slow / fast etc on the clutch but it still does it. Any advice? I've driven a lot of cars before and never had problem with my clutch control.
Finally, I don't have the usually guide that comes with the car - does anyone know where I can get useful info on proper maintenance (things I should regularly be doing / checking) besides the obvious tyres, water, oil?
Any tips or help would be appreciated I really don't have much of a clue!
Thanks,
Grace.
