Hedgehogs

I have one in my back garden, lives under a huge bush thing.
Even though my two staffies terrorise it it refuses to leave :D

Even though we are in London we have foxes and a family of 6 squirrels, loads of crows and even the small birds are coming back now. Our cats regularly stalk the squirrels but they are far too quick for them - thank goodness. Birds are part of their diet though. :(

The foxes make quite a racket at night and the cats sit with noses pressed against the bedroom window. Lots of miaowing when the squirrels run along the fencing.

Had a tree full of plums but the squirrels found them first lol. No plum jam this year.

Never seen a hedghog in our garden strangely enough.

Hedgehogs make a lot of noise, especially when their happy. We get them in the garden quite regulary.

Since we got out dog the foxes don't come in the garden anymore, but they used to be able to get over a 6' fence no problem.

cool. I love hedgepigs! We used to hget them in our old garden. I don't think we get them in our new garden becasue there no no bushes and too many cats. We get lots of birds. I even seen a buzzard a few days ago over the fields infront of the house.

Where I used to live in Leicester, the foxes used to come out and play on the road once it had been dark for a couple of hours. They lived under the wooded area at the school across the road (Beaumont Leys Sch if you know Leicester). I used to get the bus home from work and arrive there at about 10:30pm and in winter when it had been dark long enough, they would all be out on the street. First time I seen them, I was bricking it, but they just walk past you and play near you like I was just another fox or as if I wasn't there! They make a right row in mating season though. A really loud squealing/yelping!

so bought some bird food with bugs and stuff in to feed them and sure enough, out one came to sample. Seemed very happy with it too!

Nice one! Many would treat them as pests and try to get rid, big (y) to you for looking after them.

I had to stop the rush hour traffic on the London south circular because some stupid ****s put 7 hedgehogs in the road, obviously getting some kind of sick enjoyment from watching a whole family of them getting squashed.Anyway put them all back in the bushes & let the traffic carry on (y) Never did catch the w*****s though

One for you Stuart D ;) http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/llama.php

My GF's parents get Hedgehogs in their garden a lot. Once we got back to find one on the front step of the house. Picked the poor little creature up and carried him(or her) out to the nearby park. Didn't want it getting squashed on the busy road nearby.
