Hi all new member in need of help just brought a multipla and there is no heat in the cab and seem sum like the heater motor don't work as screen always gets misty. I can use the max defrost but that cuts out when lights r on can any one help thanks jon

Yeh that but I also have no heat like the thermostat doesn't. The engine is up to temp as well n still no heat it's strange cose the max def setting on heater switch works when it wants

Max Def works off the Air-Con.
Don't know much about the heating system on the Multi, I expect it's all controlled electrically (another modern 'improvement'), so it could be something simple like a fuse gone.

There's a fan resistor that can cause problems. If it burns out, the fan stops working. Seem to recall it's mounted under the dash somewhere on the centre or passenger side - one of the threads on here has a photo of it.

Can you hear your fan running?

Edit: This is the thread I was thinking of:

I have disconnected the blower/heater motor all seems ok and connectors n wires look ok. The lights on the dials for re circ and air con have been pulsing on and off not sure wire as the motor is disconnected I'm so confused as to y I have no heat. There no temp reading on the car LCD display.

The LCD temp display has jogged my memory. I had exactly the same problem a few years ago and called out a mobile auto-electrician. He found a connector plug underneath the main dash, it's in the area where the plastic foot rest for the middle seat is right up underneath the trim. He discovered that the earth wire had burnt out at the main connector block and effectively bridged the main block by joining the 2 parts of the earth wire with a mini connector block.

It is worth having a look at this to see if the block is either coming loose, if so give it a firm push back together, or if the earth wire has been arcing.

The bloke I called out only charged about £40.
