Technical Heater fan only working on position 4

Hi, one of the problems I inherited was that the fan was either off or only on position 4, bit frustrating really.

Couldn't see anything in the forum, apologies if the answer is already here, but I found it on http://www.fiatbarchetta.com/btech/heater.html

Excellent description, but understates just how awkward the access is. My heater resistor was toast, all melted and had took the wiring loom plug with it as well, so was fairly well welded together. Broke the pins trying to wrestle them apart upside down stuffed into the very back of the passenger footwell, not fun. So I bought a new resistor and plug plus loom from from eBay seller listing

Seriously, get the loom plug as the extra wiring is totally needed as access is nearly impossible

Works perfectly now though, so just right amount of air warm and nice.
