Hi everyone

I'm hoping I can ask this question without confusing everyone as I'm not sure what the correct name is for the dials!

I have a 2016 Fiat 500 lounge and I've noticed when the headlights are on the 2 heater dials (on the left) do not light up at all! The speed one does have a dot on it & also a little symbol that both go orange when I use the a/c but the dot doesn't go orange when it's just the heater on. There is also a dot on the heater control but that never lights up. I spoke to the bloke that sold my car & he said neither knob will light up when the headlights are on but I'm not sure he's right! When driving the car at night I am literally scrabbling around trying to find the controls, which is really annoying.

Can anyone tell me if their car is the same please?

Thanks

Thanks John - my thoughts exactly! It's such a lovely little car, I can't believe the one area they would scrimp on is something so basic!

Just for clarity; are you referring to a manual heater/AC setup or Climate Control?

On our manual system all the symbols around all the knobs light up when the headlights are on, including the indicator on the each knob (the 'dot' I presume you refer to). The central 'snowflake' on the fan knob glows green when the fan and AC are on regardless of whether the headlights are on. This is a 2013 Pop.

On our 2013 Lounge with CC all the symbols light up all the time when the ignition is on (regardless of the headlights) with the individual LED's indicating status.

Perhaps the 2016 models are different but I doubt it, especially if the whole panel's in darkness - I'd get it checked because it seems the backlighting isn't working.

My Fiat 500 had a problem with the lights behind the two right hand hearing controls not working, was horrible driving at night. I took mine to Fiat and it was the bulb to them had gone x

Mine flickers and I have to hit the dash sometimes. Looks like a loose connection. This is manual controls.

Couple of shots of what you should see, at least in 2013 models. Poor quality pix but you get the idea... Manual and CC respectively.

Thank you so much for posting the photos - mine is the manual one in the left hand photo & neither of them light up at all!

I appreciate everyone's comments & help, as I now feel confident enough to call Fiat again! It looks like I was fobbed off, so I'll be letting them know I'm not happy about that!

Thanks again all
