Head lights were starting to go yellow with age [Nine years], and there was a thin film build up on the front of the lens that was rough to the touch
I have seen loads of methods of doing this from WD40 to Toothpaste... But this is the way I did it
Mask off around headlight
Sprayed head light with plenty of water
First off I used a scotch pad to get the roughness off
Then I used 600 grit wet and dry
Plenty of water must be used at all times
Then 800 grit
1000
1500
2000
2500
Finished of with T Cut
Then a resin polish
They now look like new
Did not think at the time to take a before picture but I'm doing another headlight referb on my corsa so will show before and after so you can see this method really does work
