My head gasket has gone and I can't get it fixed until next week. The garage is about 6 miles away from where I live and the garage have told me to drive it to them. The engine sounds like a bag of spanners and I am worried that I will do it more damage.
Can someone tell me if driving it will damage the engine more?
Thanks
Emma

I wouldn't drive it, I'd be sh*tting it incase it stopped dead on a junction or something.

You know anyone with the RAC/AA?

Don't know anyone with it. I will have to see if someone can tow me in!! I don't want to risk it.
Thanks

Thats madness. If the head gasket is gone, you shouldn't be driving it. You risk making things a whole lot worse.

The garage should know better than to ask you to drive it... crazy..

As said above, you'll only cause more damage (which is probably what the garage wants, and charge you more).

Also, 'it could' get you fined / points if it's churning out buckets of smoke and the Police catch you..
