have a problem with my punto

hi everyone,
recently i have purchased a new punto and encountered a new problem in it.
whenever i start the engine,i hear a screeching noise coming from the engine bay..donno where it is coming from.
i have checked whether its the compressor bearings..but they are fine..
after 10-15 minutes of running the sound gradually reduces on the move.
the sound increases with the acceleration.
lindly help me out as the local service guys are not able to figure it out.

Hi, I'd expect the problem to be either the coolant pump bearings, alternator bearings or the aux drive-belt. Could also be a cam-belt tensioner beginning to break up, that could be nasty so I'd begin looking & fast!
