General Have a Grande and Mrs looking for a Punto

Hi Guys

I currently have a GPS, but my Mrs wants a car just to pop around town. We are looking to spend around £1500-£2000 and are looking for a 1.2 ELX or a 1.9 jtd ELX. Can anyone tell me what I need to look out for? I know that the car needs its red kwy, or does this still apply to th mk2?

no red keys.

check power steering, check wipers dont judder and the mechanismns dont have bodge repairs done.

1.2 8v, check for clutch, water pump, head gasket.
1.2 16v check when cambelts due, and clutch
1.9 jtd, check cambelts due.

and check history, they are good cars, but the wipers, steering, clutches, gearboxes and head gaskets tend to fail mainly.
