Basically as above. Noticed that sometimes the car stalls when i'm trying to pull away.

Now it could be my driving (6yrs license, 24yrs old) but having driven a car with a performance clutch and other assortments of vehicles, i'm tempted to think its a design fault with the stilo, the clutch is on the way out, or there is something wrong...

Anyone else had this, or is my driving technique terrible? :D

p.s. Also when cold more noticeable, if i take my foot off the accelerator in first or second it kinda "kangaroo's" but not in the same way as others have experienced on here.... possible flywheel problem?

Mine did this too, until I changed to Denso standard plugs with 0.9 mm gap (instead of the original 0.8 mm).

Unlikely to be flywheel (unless you’ve been overheating it - will cause noticeable vibrations at idle and judder allot, even at speed). With stilo post #2 or #3 is likely to be your answer. Throttle is easy to re-train (resetting the car won't help): when cold - turn key to on position (kill all lights, radio, etc) then sit and listen for 60 seconds (i prefer 90 but it shouldn't make much difference) - you will hear some wheezing from engine bay (surprise! - car will be moving throttle flap from position 0 to 100 relearning it). Afterwards switch off your car and remove key - now you wait another 60 seconds.. and that’s it - start and drive. If this helps you - it’s definitely throttle sensor/actuator issue - use carb cleaner to clean throttle body and flap (never let it touch your maf sensor - use IPA spray for that). S2ap to standard NGK plugs too (unless you’ve a modified engine other plugs will not make it run better but can cause problems + try steer clear of copper core bosch at any price).

Thanks very much guys.

I'll try the reset thing, but probably just clean the throttle body out when i get a chance. It had a service last march (5k ago) so i'll re-service it after it gets through the MOT.

Thanks.

Ross
