Got up this morning, took the handbrake off and noticed it wasent comming off fully.

It had froze, so like is this common with the puntos? And is there anywhere i can fix it? Like wrap it up in insulator foil or summin?

this is common with most cars, sounds funny but just bounce lol and it;l come off usually makes a discusting noise.

i also had problems with my handbrake, it seized on garage fixed it for a tenner just aplied some grease

i have heard that this is a very common problem with Punto's, especially GT's cos the water gets into the pipe or summin and freezes

Yeh it came off eventually. But it just wasent comming off the drums fully you know.

Its just with the coldness

the hanbrake build quality its crap, DONT attempt a handbrake turn, if you do your either likely to straetch the cableor do what i did and rip both sets of shoesoff your back brakes.

Park your car in gear and leave the handbrake off, i have to do this in my mk1 since the rear brakes have i habbit of sticking in the winter

yeah not clever but very fun.................if u pick the right moments, wudnt class myself as an idiot driver but when first passing my test that freedom of driving became a bit overpowering, hence the handbreak turns, u gotta try it at one point, and hey in the snow ur handbrake almost becomes a novelty in wide open car parks.
