General Hand break light on dash always on

hello

tried to tighten my handbrake today and now the handbrake warning light is always on.

managed to wedge an allen key between the switch and hand brake lever to put light of but im assuming there something missing, dont suppose anyone knows what it is/called and how much they are

are you sure it isn't the handbrake that is faulty and not the light? could it be over adjusted, so it is never quite off?

Probably is something you have disturbed (the switch) but you should also check the brake fluid level
