halfrauds spray paint

has anyone used halfords spray paint on their cars? in particular broom yellow, what was the match like [in general] and finish?

just got some little bits that need a spray over

or recommend another place for car spray

I've been using it for my alloys and I've also done a wingmirror. It's a very good match from what I can tell, I'm just not too happy with their laquer...

I would normally buy paint like that from my local car spares shop, but of all the things he sells his spray paint prices are astronomical as well as being made by some unknown company

I found the halfords stuff on their website, tried looking on motorworld site for their prices too but they dont list spray paint

I've used Halfrauds rattle cans and they are as good as the ones from the factors.

Used one on my old 126, it looked more cream than white and that was with white primer..

there are about 7 shades of broom yellow, make sure you get the right one

Every manufacturer has it's own shade of set colors. your best bet in my opinion would be to go to a mixers with your car and color code and they would be able to do a match.

Worth the extra cost in my opinion, otherwise it starts to look like a patchwork quilt (I know before anyone comments "coming from the one with a blue and yellow sei" )

how halford work it is same as body shop, they mix they own colour, than put in spary can with gas, so if you do want to use them, ask them let you check the yellow to you car before put the colour in can, and you best polish your car first, so show the right yellow, match the yellow to same it is very hard, as you car yellow have been changed by the sun, but if you only going to spary a mirror or bumper corner, you will be fine, as those can get away with a little different colour, will be hard to tell.
2k clear in can from halford, it is very good, as good as the one buy from auto factor.

It's true Halfords work much the same way as a paint factor. But I've never known them to run out with a swatch and -- if you don't have a trade card -- they tend to be more expensive.
