Hi all. Been lurking here for a while now and thought it was about time I joined and said hello.

I don't currently own a Fiat, but I'll be getting a new Fiat 500 next year. So when's the 500 gonna get it's own sub forum?

My first car - 10 years ago in August - was a Fluo Green Cinquecento SX. Not the nicest colour in the world, but I loved that car and whilst I've moved around the manufacturers since selling it, I've always hankered after another small Fiat. Hopefully the 500 will live up to my expectations.

It was. Bought it in October 1997. It was about 6 months old with 6000 miles on the clock. Really wanted a Sporting, but being my first car the insurance was too expensive.

I didn't have much money to mod it, but I did fit a minidisk head unit to it and 4 sony speakers!

I sold it to my sister in 1999 and she sold it shortly afterwards. I'd love to know where it is and if it's still running.

whats the registration number? can check on the dvla website to see if its taxed or not, if its taxed normally means its still running

It's probably for the best. I'll always remember as pristine and new. Not sure I'd like really like to see it 10 years down the line.

Its a tricky one we want to know, but we dont if its bad, my old Punto looks as if its SORN'd at the mo, why who knows, no doubt the guy i sold it too's daughter has bumped it.
