Gutter trim/headlamp bezel clips

Have a 1972 Fiat 500L - trying to fix chrome gutter trim.... how is this done... will be fixing with little screws either end. The stuff is very bendy and springy ans seems to want to bend the wrong way - then it breaks. This is my second lot. HELP! Also the clips to fit headlight in bezel are a different shape to the old ones....how do these fit?
