I recently bought a t-jet kit, brand new from a business seller on eBay who had several different models.

I was very disappointed with it, the quality was pretty poor for something that costs the best part of £200 so I sent it back for refund.

The seller was spot on but I can't recommend the GSR kit TBH, looked like something someone had knocked up in their shed.
 
Not really, the forge one is only for the t-jet and I don't know of any other GP specific ones.

I've had a BMC panel filter from the Abarth SS fitted for around 18 months and have been happy with it but don't know if the 8v uses the same airbox.

BMC CDA kits were the induction kit of choice when I had an MG ZR but the T-Jet kit doesn't fit UK models, could be worth a look if they do one for your car?

I dont recomend the forge one it sounds crap - i have tried all the options you can think of , standard/cone filter/forge intake/custom silicone intake/BMC panel filter etc and 100% would go for the BMC panel filter in the standard airbox. If however you dont mind the noise a custom silicone intake would be my next choice
 
I dont really know the design of the n/a 1.4 airbox, the t-jet intake is the same as the one in the 180bhp SS so i know it can provide more than enough airflow for my map. You could try fitting a BMC and chopping off the old air feed and replacing it with a bigger pipe. But i would instead design a simple intake using silicone pipes and aluminium joiners, putting a cone filter as far away from the heat as you can
 
honestly though mate, will it make much difference? i just want my exhaust to make a difference to the car, and currently its not.

p.s. i know the gains arent huge, but anything is better than nothing now iv bought the exhaust.

air intakes and exhaust systems work together, one without the other = all noise and no go
 
id just go for BMC as thats what agp ss use...

that's what i've got in mine after turbo upgrade and map and it's running sweeet!
