My Bravo doesnt like the morning time!

Its a 1.6 sx, 40,000 miles, just serviced 2 weeks ago. It doesnt start very well at all in the mornings, when it starts it makes a noise, (Like that when try to start an already started car, like a friction noise).

And it is very jumoy untill it heats up and then its great, starts first time, no jumping for the rest of the day.....until next morning!

Is this just a bad morning car!

Help needed??

Paul

Does the engine turn over ok in the mornings or is it very sluggish or does the starter turn but not the engine?

Re: Re: Grumpy Bravo!

Well yeah it starts ok - its not an instant start but it does start first time, but its the crackling, friction i worry about when it starts - i dont think im holdin the key for too long, ive started cars before with no problems...

Why is it such a bad cold starter - what can i do to imporve this if its already been serviced (Well it was a Fiat Service so its kinda got a service)??

Paul.

Re: Re: Re: Grumpy Bravo!

How old, how many miles? Could be the starter is simply not disengaging.

Its hard to say without hearing the noise.

T reg 40,000 miles - its strange cauz it only affects the car on a cold start!!!

My 1.6 SX is 6 years old, done 68,000 miles and has never jumo'd once! LOL!
Seriously though, the noise on starting. Is it a sort of whoosh as the starter stops? Mine's been doing that for years! She always starts first time, winter and summer, cold or hot.

Mark.
