Hey guys ,its me again
So anyways im just looking for some help with what i think may be my clutch. When my foot is off the pedal it makes nasty grinding noises in the background and if i press the pedal the grinding noise slowly fades away. The clutch doesn't seem to slip its just the noise apart from sometimes it crunches going into reverse if the grinding noise is still present. It also makes the noise in neutral when the pedal is up.
Any ideas? its really doing my nut in as i have to drive 30 miles and back every weekday to go to work and it seems to be getting worse.

Thankies XD

I just fitted a new clutch with new thrust bearing and there is more noise with the clutch released than foot to the floor. My car has done 76k. The friction plate was fine but the thrust bearing had almost worn through the fingers and I was about to lose the clutch. (common fault that is overlooked. First sign is stiffness of clutch control) As fingers said, probably needs new clutch and the gearbox needs and oil change but is also worn.

Ya recon the gearbox will be fine for a while? cos id rather just get a new car if its guna cost that aswell, its not fitting it that i mind, just buying it. Car didnt cost that much to begin with and it aint worth throwing money at it since the rest of it is also falling to bits
