insurers

U might not lose your NCB, its at the discretion of the insurer whether or not they penalise you, and i dont think they will if it was a hit and run.

I had a similar thing happen to me, the car was parked, but the guy did leave his details.
Insurance company settled it as 50/50 and it cost me almost a grand a year extra on my insurance!
I'm out of the 3 year zone now, and my premium on a 155 HGT went from £1700 last year to just £950 this year!

By the time you paid your excess it works out a lot of money.

I wish I had of got a loan out and paid for the damages myself, would've been much cheaper.

RAC insurance

I use them and when someone backed into mine in a supermarket and f*cked off they payed up and I didn't lose my no claims.
I have since moved companys , explained the accident (as you have to list all claims) and cause RAC
gave me a full no claims certifcate they are cool with
it also.

Thanks for that thought anonymous, but thankfully not everyone in the world is as dishonest as you are! If it was a scratch I wouldn't bother leaving details - but 2 bloody huge dents the size of Cyprus???!!!

Never mind, I just would love to have caught the bastard in the act. Funny thing is, none of the paint has come off at all! Maybe I can get Dentmaster to repair it???

all these uninsured bastards (and any neds aswell) should be castrated so they cant pass on any of their shitty fecked up genes. when a mate of mine reversed into a car as he forgot he had the bike rack hanging off the back he just offered to pay up without his insurance details but the guy just said that it was just one of those things and to leave it as he had a protected NCB. shame not all people have protected NCBs!
