Hi, I've just noticed there's a lot of grease over the alternator and other parts of engine around the zone on my Ducato 2.8 jtd ( year 2003).
It looks like it went out from some part but I don't find what it is.
I found this because I began to hear some squeeks coming from this alternator zone when I started the engine.
Cam belt and water pump have been replaced and only have 800 kms.
Anyone has an idea of what could be happening?

It is from the CV Joint. It has a rubber boot that has a lot of grease in it. The boot will be split.
If you have got on to it early without much driving or in rain you may get away with just getting a new boot fitted. The mechanic will add some grease into the new boot.
I have just finished cleaning up the areas you have mentioned.

I've looked at the CV joint and it's ok.
The rubber is intact, and no grease around it...
It's far from the alternator.
It has to be something nearer wich has grease and spits the grease when turning.
I don't know if water pump has grease or there is a bearing there with grease.

There is 2 joints on the drive shaft. These are the only parts that have the grease & it will throw out with the rotation of the drive shaft.
Thanks, I'll take a look again because I didn't saw grease near de CV joint on the wheel.
Only on the alternator and near it.
