Ive got 2 issues, firstly is my parcel shelf speakers. They arent working, all they are doing is making a horrible rasping noise, they are jbl GTO938s. so should be good.
They are hooked to a 4 channel amp which is running a sub aswell, however i only have one rca pre out cable. so heres the qs. Do i need another rca preout to run both speakers and sub together? I only have 1 rca (pair) input to my head unit. will splitters work? Also im thinking of scrapping the whole 4 channel amp sub and parcels and just getting mono with a bigger (sony xplod) sub. what do you reckon? Or may get a new 4 channel amp, what can people recommend?
2nd - my front door speakers. Bought some "bass face" ones to replace as the values looked good and i had heard a few good things about them. Installed them (the mounts were too small so they look silly in the door tbh) and they sound the exact same as the standard speakers. currently i have one door with a bass face and one with a standard speaker and i cannot tell the difference! should i get rid of the bass face and get some different front speakers? can anyone recommend any? especially ones that will fit the origional rivet holes? or at least fit the actual hole in the door. Just a note i did buy the right size speakers in the first place.
