Slightly old thread, but hey

Been playing "Need for Speed Most Wanted: Black Edition" on my PC over the past few days - cracking game, especially in 1600*1200 Res and using a PS2 controller :spin:

And yes, I did decide start my career with the Punto

Anyone still playing? Any hints? I have already taken out number 15, plus a few of the challenges.

Yeah, always get a unique performance upgrade every time, then you can have a 235mph 0-60 in 1.5s Punto like me

Oh, and if you're trying to evade the 5-0, and there are 15-odd after you, get on the freeway and just keep flying along. They drop off one by one until you get down to 1 or 2 left, then all you need to do is get off the freeway and find a couple of pursuit breakers

I was told not to spend any money on upgrades, because you can win every race in a 'stock' car due to the way the catch-up works!

I tried the Black Edition challenge - it is opened up from the start - I nearly had it as well, bounty of $500,000 and 7 SUVs, but got boxed in right towards the end
