I got an alarm 2 weeks ago or so.
Its a Sigma S30 CAT 1 alarm and immobiliser, but i had to turn it off because it was going off every 30 secs.
Took it down to Kevin Pirrie & sons in Dundee where it was put in, and they couldnt get to the bottom of it. I thought it was with leaving the air vents open, as on my mk1 it caused the ultrasonics to go, but when they plugged it into the diagnostic thingy, it was saying it was activated due to the door circuit.
Anyway, they phoned up Sigma and apparently, they're aware of the problem- 1 in 50 Fiat Puntos and Ducatos (2003, 53 plate onwards so mostly mk2b's) have a fault in the wiring of the door/ courtesy light, and that was what was causing the alarm to go off. Solved by putting a new resistor in or summin like that.
Trust me to get one of the dodgy batch
So i have had the car alarmed all night and it hasnt gone off- yet!
Fingers crossed.
