Nanolex Ultra for the paintwork, and Nanolex Convertible Top Sealant for the roof. Of course, the guys did lots of correction work beforehand to remove all the scratches = $630 all up for a 2-day job, great work by Pierre and Lukasz at Car Care Products in Five Dock :D

This should last me for a year or two -- will make it much easier to keep the car clean as well as help repel bird poop. My black 500C seems to be a poop magnet!

My baby is purring now :D
I definitely recommend the new nano-technology sealants if you want to keep your car in good nick. It's all snow foam, Nanolex shampoo and the 2-bucket wash method now :slayer:

Oh, and on the way to the detailer, the big plastic splash guard thingy underneath the engine compartment fell off and started scraping the road while I was driving. It was literally hanging on by a single bolt, and came off easily when pulled

I'd only just gotten my car serviced last week. When the dealership opens tomorrow, it'll be cranky sunsets time. Grrrr.

3 of my tyre valve stem caps were missing as well, but I don't know if that was the service centre or just kids stealing the caps as usual. I've now bought a big reserve stash of caps to keep around.

Looks amazing! But $600!!!??
I think I'll wash my car every week and wax once per month to keep the 'showroom' shine.

I did it myself for $120 (enough product to do two cars), though it took absolutely ages to get all the transport rust spots and tree sap off. I elected to leave any slight delivery swirls until the car really needs a polish so as not to remove more clear coat than absolutely nessesary. It's not a bad investment as it keeps the car protected if you neglect to wax it as often as you should. Ideally, especially on black, you should still be using a good carnuba wax (what's another $100, right?). Theoretically, you should also be able to clay the car without need to re-seal.

Nano could be the new aspestos though  and it's of course nothing more than a marketing gimick in most cases.

I'm too lazy to wax, hence the sealant. I'll stick to just washing the car every few weeks :D

It sounds weird but I didn't get this done for the showroom look as such, it's just to make the car easier to clean, esp. with all the insects, tree sap and bird poops that appear all the time -- I don't have a garage or even a car port, so my car is basically exposed to the elements 24/7. I might get a car cover as well since I only drive a few times a week.

I considered doing it myself, but since this is a new car I thought I'd just let the pros do it the first time around, especially since it had quite a few scuff marks and scratches and adhesive residue "brand new" from the dealership. Paint correction is a helluva lot of work, gotta say :D And at this stage I didn't want to splash out on all the equipment necessary for DIY paint correction.

And you're probably right about the nanotech being toxic. Best to wear a mask when spraying the stuff. I'll be wearing gloves when using the Nanolex shampoo.

I will look into the carnuba wax later -- might have a new hobby on my hands!

U did a good job there, I personally like to detail my car, I'm using autoglym SRP for my car, my punto was always shiny every weekend... lol... I just got the first bird drop today motha#$!#$%

Your guys did a nice job there! I've avoided the nano sealants because they don't play well with Optimum No Rinse car shampoo & I love that stuff, especially in the UK winter. I have heard astonishing stories of durability though so I may defect from Zaino next summer & give some a whirl.

I had my Abarth OptiGuarded ........ liked it so much also had the QV done

I am happy with the results, guaranteed for life and not tooooo exxy
