Got Bored today So started some door pods!

not really a football fan with nothing to do on a sunday, i decided to butcher some door cards for a little custom pod build

cut out the rings

rounded off edges and test fitted speaker gril

put the rings up against the cards to see where they needed to go

i did have a pic of all the hot glue and positioning of the rings but i seem to have deleted it some how you can see the one in the background just

stretched fabric over (yea that is a dodgy old japanese pillow cover your looking at )

slap the resin on

all resined up and ready to finish off over the next couple of evenings

the part im dreading is covering it but i will worry about that later


any tips off you guys to help me along would be more than welcome.

looks good! I often thought about doing something similiar, but liek you say always worried about covering them, or making it blend in with the natural door texture to be painted.

i thought it woudl ba a safer option to make a pod that sort of bolts onto the bottom of the door rather than blending in.

very interestd to see how they turn out!

I'm sure they're were ready made door cards you could buy from ebay that held someling like 2 x 6's and a tweeter?

gee those are big speakers you are putting in. will the clear at the back?
got more WIP pics? looks interesting.

the ones you can buy ready made were from Ebay Germany iirc
