Okay ,so I'm totally new to this , I have a mk2b punto , (that I adore) I was wondering if anyone else is as crazy as me , but I couldn't help but ask is it possible to put two speakers in the glove box , have them facing outwards with cables tucked behind ?? Has anyone else seen this done ? Or am I biting off more then I can chew :) thanx !!!!!! Af04lou

I guess that would be possible, but why would you want to do this? You'd be totally throwing off your sound setup in terms of positioning.

You'd be better off using your time, money and effort upgrading the speakers in the driver side and passenger side door (the rear two aren't as important). It would sound a lot better.

More is not better, its just more.

Look at upgrading your existing door speakers and shelf speakers, adding more speakers will draw more current and cause the amp fuse on the head unit to pop

To add to above advice, adding speakers in there would be pointless! The sound would be unbalanced and sound terrible, save your pennies go out and buy some decent front speakers for driver and passenger side as people have suggested and stick a sub in the boot (if you haven't already done so?) that's my current setup decent front speakers and decent enough sub and it sounds the bees knees :)

I was gonna put 6x6's in the parcel shelf but thought what's the point? no point IMO although it may sound great but to me it's just overkill, that's my opinion though, not necessarily in other peoples opinions...

I've upgraded the fronts and have 4,6x9's in parcel shelf with 2 , 13cms I have a boot build of 2, 12" subs and ungraded tweets in the boot as well ? I just thought it would be cool to try , if Jo ones done it that's cool lol ! Just wondered ) :) thanx for your opinions guys :) af04lou

its asking for the vibrations to shake the lid apart, its only stuck together with resin

Its too close for comfort to the airbag, last thing you want is a premature detonation

Too close to essential wiring = Lots of warnings because of loose cables

plus - as said, its going to be off setting the audio
AND
4 front (door tweaters)
4 parcel shelf speakers,
2x subs, your already putting a huge load on the poor cars electrical system

So on that basis, either upgrade to cope, or expect problems
