I am unable to download that software that shows the part numbers as I have no Laptop. (I use ipad and iPhone), can someone find the part number for the slow release mechanism for the glove box. It would be greatly appreciated :)
Mine is broken beyond repair. I managed to get to it simple enough, dropped the glove box and pulled it away. Removed the single piece of plastic trim to left of the box (one bolt and one torx screw) the mechanism sits in there and is a little friction cog on a runner. It is incredibly easy to pull out as it's locked in place with a little twist socket thing. (Don't know the name). Anyway the runner has a stopper and a guides that keep it flush to the friction cog. Unfortunately for me the guides have broken allowing it to come away from the cog. Also the stopper has snapped off so when I open the glove box it just falls to the floor. I've done a very quick temp fix involving masking tape to hold the guides together and I screwed a small screw through the back of the runner to use a stopper (yeh I know I'm a genius right). Anyway I need the part number for this so I can get a new one. I don't need a new glove box and I can fit it all myself pretty easily. I'm guessing it will be one part (the runner and mechanism). Not that I can imagine it would be different per model but just incase it is mines a 2007 dynamic t-jet.

Solved it myself.

Phoned Arnold Clark Fiat in Oldbury, West Midlands. They quoted me £22.08 inc. VAT. for anyone who has a broken one it is incredibly easy to fix. I'll put a few pictures together for a quick guide incase you're scared about it.

The part number is: 735445954.

I'm picking the part up Friday. I'm at the West Brom vs Man United game Saturday (come on you Baggies) so it will probably be Sunday I fit it. I'll post the quide that night. (y)
