Now I’m guilty of an OCD burden so please forgive my trivial question. The glass I’ve fitted to my car is etched in such a way that on the right side it reads correctly on the outside of the car whereas on the left side of the car it reads correctly when inside. Is this the case on other people’s fiat 500’s?

This is kind of strange both the rollup window and the backseat window on the passenger side read backwards from outside the car. On the driver side, the rollup window reads backwards from outside the car in the backseat window reads forward on my 71. The wing windows read correctly from outside the car on each side, but they have slightly different etchings
I’m presuming you are referring to your car as being a LHD?
So that would have me surmise that it is possible to have a set of glass that reads correctly from the outside, something else to try and track down
