okay i need a list of stuff that i can do to get the cost of my insurance down. i know the main one is get older but that takes time. i am 20 so i am just about 2 peak. but what can i do besides put it in a garage. direct line wont insure me for alloys but my last car they did. any ideas why?

I'm 19 and have a 1.2 GP active in chemical grey.

Absolute cheapest quote I can find right now (no no claims, held my license for a year) is £1200ish from swinton. At the moment I'm with direct line, paying £1,700ish but my policy expires in march so I'm waiting the remaining time out then changing as my old policy expires so I get my no claims.

Theres not much you can do tbh aged 20. It's going to be expensive either way.

All you can do is 'live in a better area' this will save you up to £300 (done identical quotes using different postcodes), get older. Try adding a parent to the policy (for me this either makes no difference or makes it more expensive).

Your basically just going to have to build your no claims.

i am 888 a year. thinking of adding an alarm. really want my alloys but tehy said no. my dad is on my policy and he has a rally certificates and was a driving instructor 2.

putting a female on a policy nearly always always brings it down
advanced driving course
garaging your car or even having it off road on your drive
limiting your miles to 6k a year
getting a Thatcham cat 1 or cat 2 alarm immobiliser
strange as it may seem putting anybody on your policy who drives for a living or does loads of miles will increase your premium

if you can get someone else to go on admiral multicar as it seriously saved me and my dad some money saved me over £500 and reduced my dads by £50 from what his previous cheapest quote was im 20 and all mods declared and its £500ish :slayer:
