Punto (Mk2/2b) gearbox

Any one ever had trouble getting into 5th gear? Other gears feel a little ropey but go into/change gear, ive checked the gear box oil and linkage cables no issues there, just wondered if any one else has had a similar problem?

Had a new clutch fitted about 3 months ago hasn't really felt the same since

It's quite possible then that when the clutch was done they kinked or bent one of the gear selector cables which might now be failing,

I would disconnect the cables at the gearbox end and see if they move smoothly without catching or feeling rough
