gearbox

on the way to work a few weeks back my clutch started slipping really bad. just about made it to work. by the time i had got to work there was no drive at all. luckily i work at a garage so that weekend i ripped the box out and the clutch off and to my suprise it didnt look in that bad condition, ok the pressure plate diaphram springs were a bit worn and the release bearing had seen better days but the clutch plate wasnt that bad. so i ordered a clutch kit up and fitted it the next weekend put it all back together. 1st gear clutch out, nothing there same as before. turns out its the gearbox, has anyone experienced this no noise from the gearbox but clutch slipping symptoms?

ive had fairly similar

the real weakness with the phase 1 1.2 bravos gearbox is the differential unit, so maybe whip that off and have a look? dont even need to bother removing the box either, hubs off, driveshafts out, and undo the 8 or so bolts that hold it in

yeah i heard it could be the diff. i will have to have a look. cheers

no problem mate, ive had enough issues with the box n diff on Patch so kinda know the score when it comes to gearboxes now through default...
