gearbox?

i have a fiat brava automatic gearbox, when the car is in drive it seems to be struggling to go through the lower gears, its not a smooth transmission through the gears. i have checked the transmission fluid (its ok) when i stop and put car in to neutral and then back into drive it just revs up and the a warning light which shows the bonnet open starts flashing on the dash. the rev counter goes up to 3 -4 before changing out of 1st gear and when it does the car jolts forward. I would be grateful for any suggestions, I thought it might be the gear selector and hopefully not the gear box. I cant see any leaks from under the engine area.

Sound like the pressure control. You need to get the ECU read.
