Does a 2.0 jtd gearbox fit a 2.3 jtd? ??

Ones is a psa engine the other iveco the diff and bellhousing is utterly different.

The gear housing is the same and you may be able to use some of the gears, shafts to fix your own but the ratios are different.

Short answer no, but if your stuck in the sahara or the amazon you might be able to bodge some parts to fix yours.

Any ideas on wot else that does fit? I believe citroen relay does and peugeot boxer but wot engine size? 2.2? 2.5?

The 2.8jtd box is basically the same as far as I know. You can compare the parts in eper to be sure:

There is a different diff ratio for the 'maxi' 1800kg van though so you should get one to match.
