As mentioned in a previous post, when I went to drain the oil from the gearbox in order to replace the oil, no oil came out the drain plug.
The gearbox was (so PO told me) had a rebuild a few years back.
After my work to date after PO cambelt failure, the van has moved a grand total of 10m forward and 10m back (in order to get it outside for a clean).
I can now see some oil around the gearbox. I think there is oil around the changer lever (lever in photo 1, difficult to see oil but it is there). There is oil around the bottom of the gearbox (as shown in photo 2) which might have leaked from the bottom or is the oil that has descended from higher up.
Any suggestions / experience / advice?
