Technical Gearbox oil for 2003 JTD?

I have a 2003 2.8JTD. I suspect I have a small gearbox oil leak and want to change the oil so I can measure what comes out. I will clean the gearbox so I can monitor it properly for a leak.

Can anyone tell me what the correct gearbox oil is.

I believe from googling it is SAE 75W-85 API GL4

I have found this, which looks correct, but want to confirm if possible before ordering it.

Fiat seem to have changed the specs of the various lubricants over the years as the products are superseded by something "better", but the Tutela Car Matryx linked to in your second post is the appropriate product as detailed in the 2005 version of the manual for the Ducato that ran through from prior to that to 2006/7.

Yes. Go ahead. It's what I used. 2.7 litres is the generally accepted amount.

Thanks, . Oil is ordered. Hopefully here on Monday. That will be my last job under the bonnet. I have also given the old girl a full service today. All new filters and new oil etc..
Now she starts ok, I don't mind spending some money on her.

Next week is welding week... (or 2 weeks or 3 weeks )
