Hello again.
Unfortunately the oil had to come out of my Uno Turbo's gearbox while removing it to change the clutch - so, again, I need to find the best oil in NZ for the Tipo-style gearbox...

Currently it has Valvoline semi-synthetic Duragear 75W80 but it's not working very well (oops, how would I know that, after all I haven't told the forum that I'm driving it yet ;)) - basically the shift action is still heavy and tends to give a deep-seated grate going into gears, it's even quite hard to pull out of gears. Yes, I think the clutch is working correctly, and also the gearbox was rebuilt very expensively not long before I bought the car.

So - your choices please?

Thanks,
-Alex

I use Elf TRX 75/80 in my Uno. Its a semi synthetic. It makes shifts quite a lot better

I got a few cans of Tutela ZC 75 synth, so tried it in My Tipo (HF turbo gearbox) Its fantastic.

Actually, I squirted in half a tube of Nulon transmission treatment (comes in a big white tube, it's a gooey white substance) - it has worked perfectly. I think it was bought from SuperCheap.

I also think I had used the other half of the tube in the Uno Turbo previously. So now I have a semi-synthetic oil, 75W80, fortified with some Australian goo, and it works wonderfully.
