Bravo Gearbox Issue

Hi , Newbie here, just purchased a Bravo 2008 1.6 Eco Diesel with 6 speed, i seem to be having an issue engaging 6th gear but only after i have driven 10 miles or more it then doesn't go into 6th gear if you pull hard enough it will eventually go into 6th but a bit worrying as its only done 46k at the mo, has anyone else had issues like this, also the box if you put the lever to either the right or left it stays there it doesn't spring back to the middle, is this normal as i have never had this with any other car i have owned

Welcome to FF. Its not normal, sounds like gear linkage/cable issues to be honest.

Turret bolt needs removed, cleaned,lubricated & refitted.

so i def have a problem, is this sort of thing expensive gear linkages ??

Get someone to move gear lever left to right etc while you look at the end of the gear lever cables in the engine bay to identify which cable is moving. This cable will be connected to a pivot with a both running through it, this is seizing thus the gear lever is not returning to its central position.
